Good news: we’re going to be playing two gigs this week! Tomorrow (Wed 11th 2012) we’ll hit the stage in Semifinal with Retrogression. On Friday we’ll share the stage with Wankers of the Zoo Crew in DOM.

These are our first gigs in 1,5 years, so we’re very, very excited! We’ve been busy writing new material, so this is a good chance to hear some of the new songs before we hit the studio, and probably the only chance to see us live before our next release is out!

2012 is shaping up to be a very exciting year for us, stay tuned!

Wow, long time no update! Fear not, work on our upcoming release is coming along great! Next week we’ll be once again heading to our secret hideaway for a long weekend to record demos for 4-5 new songs we’ve been working on lately. Can’t wait to get the new material out – and most importantly, to go out and play the new songs live for you guys! Super excited!

The first snow is falling in Helsinki and quite appropriately we’ve been writing some cold and bleak material during the last few weeks! We’ve been practicing a couple of times a week and have set up a basic studio at our training space so that we can just hit “record” and go for it. Too early to talk about details and schedules, but things are certainly heating up!

We seem to go through phases in our songwriting. Earlier this year, it was all about slower songs. But during the last few months the metronome’s gone up to 200bpm again and the Jake is looking more tired after each practice session We’re definitely covering some new ground with the new songs, going from the most technical we’ve ever been to the most mellow you’ve heard from us. But you can definitely hear the “Embreach sound” in everything we do

Great news, we’re going to be playing at the Tuska pre-party at Tavastia with Amberian Dawn! The show’s on Thursday, July 1st, the day before Tuska kicks off. Tickets are available at least from Tiketti – but note that the entrance is free if you have a ticket to Tuska!

Playing at Tavastia is definitely a dream come true for us — and definitely worth taking a break from our intensive songwriting sessions. Now, excuse us, as we’re going to practice our asses off!

We spent the weekend at a cottage up north, equipped with only our instruments and some recording gear.

Swam in the half-frozen lake. Practiced age-old rituals in the brisk spring night. Drank some red wine. Made some sausage soup. How can that not result in some awesome metal music?
