Great news, we’re going to be playing at the Tuska pre-party at Tavastia with Amberian Dawn! The show’s on Thursday, July 1st, the day before Tuska kicks off. Tickets are available at least from Tiketti – but note that the entrance is free if you have a ticket to Tuska!
Playing at Tavastia is definitely a dream come true for us — and definitely worth taking a break from our intensive songwriting sessions. Now, excuse us, as we’re going to practice our asses off!
We spent the weekend at a cottage up north, equipped with only our instruments and some recording gear.
Swam in the half-frozen lake. Practiced age-old rituals in the brisk spring night. Drank some red wine. Made some sausage soup. How can that not result in some awesome metal music?
…but once you get back in the game, things really start to gear up!
After a longish creative break, we’ve been hard at work with a lot of new Embreach material. The songs and arrangements are taking shape, and the new material’s starting to sound ace! The bar’s set really high this time around, so it’ll be interesting to see which songs make the cut.
It’s hard to say anything specific about how our next release is going to sound like at this point, but it’s definitely going to be more diverse than our previous efforts. The heavy parts are going to be more ferocious, but on the other hand, there are atmospheric parts unlike anything you’ve heard from us before. But we haven’t gone soft on you, don’t worry!
Embreach received second place in the Finnish Metal Awards for 2009 in the underground band category. Thanks for voting people, we really appreciate it. We would also like to send out our sincere congratulations to the winner, Ghoul Patrol. We’re happy that such a worthy band took the title! More details here.

It’s now been 10 years since our little band got started. Thanks to everybody who joined us in celebration at Dante’s last night! It was a night to remember. Stay tuned for pics and video from the event.
Hiya, long time no post. Things are heating up again in the Embreach universe! On Saturday November 7th (that’s next week) we’ll throw our 10th anniversary party in Dante’s Highlight! Here’s your chance to hear a bunch of old Embreach songs, as well as some brand new ones!
After this gig, we’ll continue our break from gigging and focus on writing more songs for our next release. Hope to see you at Dante’s!
